First foresting action

Our people would say – “as it is in your yard, so it is in your house”. That is why we chose to start the first action of planting trees right from our yard with the desire to reflect it on our surroundings. This is also our first planting action in which we plant 8 seedlings of yew tree. The seedlings we prepared back in the fall have rooted just enough so we took advantage of a rainy spring day and planted them along the fence.

In a conversation with one of the tourists, we learned that most of Europe, especially the mainland around the English Channel and the North Sea (France, England, Belgium, the Netherlands, Denmark …) was under a dense forest just two centuries ago. During the 18th century, when these areas experienced a demographic boom as well as the industrial revolution, due to the needs of heating, building ships, making furniture and houses, the forests almost disappeared. We hope that we as a society will not allow such a scenario in our country.
